[Guest post for Escati.com] Are you considering a move abroad? If you are then you likely have a thousand questions going around in your head, like whether or not it’s worth the risk. Well, I’m here to tell you…YES! There are things to know about moving abroad to prepare you but shouldn’t steer you away from possibly the best experience of your life. 🌍
Stuck between scared and selfish…
I know how frightening and selfish a move from one country to another might feel. As a family with small children, and with a mother diagnosed with cancer, considering a move from the USA to the UK made me feel downright selfish. And that’s only the beginning.
There are a lot of factors that might be weighing on your decision to move across the Atlantic Ocean.
- What if we don’t like it?
- What about the dog?
- What if we can’t find a good school?
- What if the kids hate the school?
- What if something happens here (USA) while we’re there (UK)?
- How can I help my sick parent from a distance?
- What will happen to my career?
- What do I even need to move abroad?
I could go on and on….because I’ve been there. ✋
What really matters…
And while all those factors and questions are valid, with time, money and information all of them can be solved.
While there is no denying that an international move is a massive one, it’s also a fulfilling one. In my guest post, 10 Things To Know About Moving Abroad for the travel site Escati.com, learn about the key opportunities about living abroad where I offer my advice to help you decide.
